🧵 1/ Wishing a very happy #HSCPDay2025 to all the Physios and OTs who really embraced this opportunity for change to bring us in line with this aspect of our new Clinical Guidelines for Stroke.

2/ Funded by the NCP Stroke we embarked on a project to bring e-stim starter kits to all 24 acute stroke sites, combining this resourcing with training of 76 therapists in 7 locations. Uptake, enthusiasm, and implementation were in abundance!

3/ A survey of existing practice prior to implementation had revealed limited use of e-stim among Irish therapists despite the growing evidence base. Therapists noted difficulties in accessing devices, a lack of policy to support practice, and challenges with training & education

4/ To coincide with #HSCPDay2025 we are today launching our post intervention survey of all OTs and Physios working in Stroke in Ireland surveys.hse.ie/s/CPL2DX/ We would so appreciate it if you could like, retweet, and share with colleagues not on Twitter
