Papers by authors from high income countries [high HDI] were rated higher by reviewers, and were 28% more likely to be invited for resubmission (of reviewed papers) if authors were identified to reviewers

This difference in success rates of papers by authors from high- versus low-income countries disappeared when papers were reviewed with author identities anonymized

We conclude that there is strong evidence that authors from higher income and/or English-speaking countries receive significant benefits (large positive bias) to being identified to reviewers during peer review process

To fight climate change, France bans domestic flights where cities are linked by train with a journey time of two and a half hours or less. Will mean flights between Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux and Lyons will be shut down. Is the first country in the world to introduce such a ban.

How to improve implementation of the mitigation hierarchy? What works and what doesn't? Where are the gaps in evidence? The evidence report has answers to these questions and lots more. Available here: eklipse.eu/wp-content/upl…
