My speech on the #AssistedDyingBill. My amendment seeks to protect the founding purpose of our NHS - ensuring no government can rewrite it behind closed doors. We cannot allow the Assisted Dying Bill to be the trojan horse that breaks our NHS.

When my sister got a blood infection, doctors said she shouldn’t be treated. She nearly died because a doctor decided her life wasn’t worth saving. She didn’t die that day - because I fought for her care. Under this #AssistedDyingBill, others might not get that chance.
