Back from a long trip to my 45 high school reunion. A lot of family reunions also. Now I'm peeling the shell off all the raw walnuts I found in Ill/Ind and my fingers are turning walnut brown. For fresh walnuts - it's worth it.

Thanksgiving menu at my house...since there's just the two of us, even a small 8 lb. turkey is way to big. So we are having NY strip steak, mashed potatoes (or sweet potatoes), peas, peach pie and cornbread stuffing. Christmas, maybe the same thing.

Is everyone ready for Thanksgiving? Steak is marinating, pick up the peach pie tomorrow, cornbread ready. Just need to make mashed potatoes and I'm done. Hope everyone has a yummy T-day.

I am so sorry to all my friends for ignoring you this yr. It has been a very rough yr medically for my family: including friends death, my sisters death (12-25), my husbands cancer, my triple bypass (on 12-22). That's not including my dental, foot surgery and everythig else.
