Day one in Nyabondo was a great success. Visiting the new trauma centre and getting stuck in with theory and practical skills, it was a day full of activity and enthusiasm!

A highlight of Day 1 was our visit to the new Major Trauma Centre, now in its final stages of construction. It will boast an emergency department, ICU, theatres and CT/MRI imaging. The new hospital will make an enormous difference to the people of Nyabondo and surrounding regions

Day 2 at Nyabondo! We consolidated the learning on trauma management, moving on to more complex scenarios and covering paediatric and maternal trauma. The energy and motivation of the participants never ceases to amaze and inspire.
