SliabhLiagDistillers Not yet but I want to!

No ArdaraDistillery peated whiskey just yet. It‘s still in the making. But look what a beautiful distillery it is. #IrishWhiskey

James Doherty ArdaraDistillery Didn’t suffer as I got a #MidnightSilkie instead by your friendly staff. 🙏🏻 Well worth the trip/wait.

James Doherty ArdaraDistillery I was at Lagg the other week and they reckoned the turf they used had basically terroir, and was different to that on Islay. Have yous any thoughts on that

Aidan ArdaraDistillery I think there are terroir effects from the turf, just as there are in grain. Our experience - type of milling, fermentation regime (grain in for us) and distilling approach especially cut points have more important impact on flavour so I would argue savoir faire trumps terroir

Memories of a simply wonderful day touring Donegal with our MattAdamsGC/FoL group. 📸 ☘️Thanks to Eunan McIntyre for the songs 🎸 Sliabh Liag Scenic Tours, Aoife, James and team at SliabhLiagDistillers 🥃Kieran and Family in Triona 🧶🧥and the lads at Kerry Coaches. 🚍

Cinzia Hayes You need to seek out An Dúlamán from SliabhLiagDistillers. You’d love it!

Bill Linnane I’m going to say no. It’s a winnowing down to the strong ones who produce great liquid or have solid fundamentals vs ones who don’t do one or the other. There’s too many people outside the island that love what many brands do

Brian Redden I think the revival part is over, the frantic rush to get distilleries built has passed, a few will close and not reopen and a natural level will be found, poss 25-35ish? TBH I think it is less about liquid or stories or work and just more about good financing and good timing.

Bill Linnane I believe your take on the “revival“ is probably correct and that there will be some natural level found. I think a lot of finding that level will have to do with quality of product and narrative around those products. Obviously quality product and messaging fuels revenue.
