A big shout out to Charley Nevin, Ava M Sjoberg & Brant Walkley from Cements@Sheffield & SMASH (Sustainable Materials @ Sheffield), who held the excellent Encapsulants Industry Research Day. This included talks from Sellafield Ltd, United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory & students whose research focuses on waste encapsulants. Well done to all!


It was wonderful to host our colleagues, collaborators, & funders from Sellafield Ltd United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory Nuclear Decommissioning Authority for this event in CBESheffield - 10 highly experienced experts from the nuclear industry visited our SMASH (Sustainable Materials @ Sheffield) & Cements@Sheffield researchers to discuss their research! 🌍👩🔬☢️

SMASH members Micael, Charley Nevin, and Ava M Sjoberg hosted a Pride Mega Fab(ulous) coffee morning with the rest of the GRAND committee for staff and students in the department this morning. We had such a good time and already looking forward to the next GRAND event!
