Happy Friday ! Craig's wildlife photo of the week. This is my series called "The Birds of WTP wetland reserve." Part 1: Zebra finches. I've only ever seen them in central Australia, I had no idea they ventured this far south. But there they were. (Werribee area, Victoria, 2025).

Today’s lunchtime friends were these rainbow lorikeets, which have found a nesting hollow in a tree beside Monash Heart Hospital.

Craig's wildlife photo of the week. The Birds of Western Treatment Plant. (Werribee, Victoria). I would like to introduce the Musk Duck. A curious creature, endemic to Southern Australia . The male - shown below - has a fleshy lobe underneath its bill and a stiff tail.

Happy Friday. Continuing my series, The Birds of Western Treatment Plant (Werribee, Vic.) This little fellow is a white-fronted chat, singing its heart out.

I spent a lot of time today pouring over AlphaFold, scrutinising my protein of interest. Anyway, Happy Friday ! πŸ₯‚ Craig's wildlife photo of the week. This willy wagtail was intent on harassing a brown falcon. The falcon couldn't care less. (Werribee, Victoria, AUSTRALIA).
