neil christie Lambeth Council (((Rezina))) 🌹🐝 Every one of Lambeth’s LTNs displaces traffic onto surrounding roads, to a greater or lesser degree, yet (((Rezina))) 🌹🐝 spins a supposed reduction of traffic across LTN areas as a reduction on ALL main roads across said areas which is not true. love.lambeth.gov.uk/council-launch…

Tesfai worked all his adult life travelling independently by bus in London. He is in Parliament today because TfL are planning floating bus stops for Streatham that will exclude him and other blind people from their bus services. He wants government to ban these.

Southwark stopped monitoring the roads around the Dulwich LTN when it realised it couldn't prove evaporation exists. The last data dump showed a 25% *increase* in vehicles on East Dulwich Grove compared to pre-LTNs. EDG has 3 senior schools and 2 nurseries.

Call for 'immediate halt' on floating bus stops as video shows cyclists ignore crossing mylondon.news/news/transport…

It’s amazing that since victims of LTNs blocked neil christie JC Hermier @jchermier.bsky.social on Nextdoor nobody has been suspended…. I can post LTN stuff on Nextdoor and these two victim blames can’t jump in and suspend people …. Let’s remember Neil increased car sales by 26% …. Yes Neil

Anna Goodman's husband trying to grasp at any straw to make LTNs popular. Now they're a good thing because they make property prices go up? Desperate times clearly call for desperate measures. His total lack of empathy for those on the boundary of LTNs is insane.

Jev Ward (Bambi) Channel 4 Dispatches Victoria Derbyshire Double Down News Mail+ The Telegraph Charlotte Gill Cristo BBC News (UK) ITV News Standard News Automatic traffic counters reported fewer vehicles passing over their rubber strips on LTN boundary roads because: a) Vehicles on congested LTN boundary roads travelling at less than 10kmph are not reported? b) 10,000 vehicles disappeared, vanished, evaporated? #BermudaTriangle

1 hour so far ….. LTNs continue to increase congestion here outside the selfish zone . Ian Barnes lied He told residents congestion reduced …what he didn’t say is cars traveling under 6.2mph were not recorded. The more congestion means less cars counted. Evaporation 🤷‍♂️

This kind of counter community bickering has come from LTN culture. On Croxted we now have peak time congestion which makes walking and cycling to school horrible. Fact. It’s worse now post LTN in DV. Bus times slowed so #3 frequency cut. Bus is packed. Ask school kids. And TfL

Boundary rd homes suffer increased congestion, pollution & noise - classic negative externalities. They erode quality of life. Lack of a price drop doesn’t mean harm isn’t occurring. Housing markets are imperfect & sticky, esp in Ldn where supply is constrained. Croxted Clean Air too

This is a (typically) spectacular misrepresentation. The blind people’s charity is only asking for a halt to floating bus stops and bus stop boarders - not to cycle infrastructure as a whole 1/

Vincent Stops (@vincentstops) 's Twitter Profile Photo

It’s shocking, but not surprising, how little empathy there is from for blind people unable to travel independently from a minority of often fit, young, cycle activists.

Vincent Stops (@vincentstops) 's Twitter Profile Photo

.Tab of course doesn’t mention the amendment is proposed by a blind MP. Is she shocked by that??? It’s also supported by an MP with a disabled child and one that used to work with blind people!. The RNIB and Guide Dogs support the amendment too. Shocking!!!

The government has effectively said cycle segregation will trump blind peoples’ access to their bus services. Their right to independent travel just trashed. Their world just shrunk.

Floating bus stops present accessibility challenges to Londoners with disabilities. Andrew Boff pressed the Mayor about the safety concerns. Who's right - Khan, or those who have to use these bus stops?

Vincent Stops (@vincentstops) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan says that those bus stops that comply with TfL guidance are usable by blind people. This one here in the heart of the City of London does comply, but is clearly unusable for blind people. Retweet to support blind people’s. Access needs:

Thank you to everyone who came along to yesterday’s site meeting about the floating bus stops & parking for businesses on Colliers Wood High Street with TfL yesterday. Great points made. I will be back in touch with progress 🤞🤞

As a regular London cyclist I always stop at these (terribly designed) crossings, but most don’t. Time they were ripped out.
