I won’t be super mad at this loss but I am disappointed, and definitely sad. This is not our first-choice team by any metric. A few “starters” but far from full strength, so expecting these guys to magically play multiple levels above their ability would be foolish.

I need yall to understand that Freese did absolutely nothing to prove he should a) be the starter next summer or b) be included on the roster.

There are 1 billion people in the hemisphere that will host next summer’s World Cup who would benefit from this start time but I’m sure Europeans don’t think about those soccer-crazed people.

The lack of pickup soccer in the US is a major gap in player development Kids rarely play just for fun, without coaches or structure No free play means less creativity, confidence, & problem solving Until that changes, the U.S. will struggle to produce truly elite talent

Updating this: Since his debut with the national team in 2016, Christian Pulsic has appeared in 78 out of a possible 152 USMNT games. That's 51%.

Praying for the mental health of half of WoSo Twitter who had somehow convinced themselves that a 36 year old player who hadn’t touched a field in three years was going to come back to being a pro athlete.

This is an incredibly ignorant statement from the “leader” of the game. You can’t play all these games in just the five domed stadiums, and you can’t move matches 11 months from this event. Cities and stadiums need to plan. He’s an incompetent president and needs to be ousted.
