Today we launch Social Work Awareness Week celebrating social work and its important role in our communities. All week long industry leaders and front-line staff members will share their experiences and the positive differences that social workers can make in a child’s life.

Spoke Tusla - Child and Family Agency launch for #socialwork awareness week today before heading into SWSP_TCD's advisory committee meeting. I couldn't attend the #childsummit with @dcediy but amazing to see so much work being done to promote positive outcomes for children and young people in one day!

Lovely to hear Simon Harris TD acknowledge the work of EPIC, Empowering People in Care with Department of Further and Higher Education to prioritise care-leavers access to further education and training. Our past+present Youth Council members Rory Brown Clara O'Shea-Collins #CEP + Kai Brosnan (He/Him)🏳️‍⚧️ have been instrumental in this over 2 years

Responding to racism with classism is not at all helpful. Both are based in stereotypes and generalisations. It is an ignorant commentary that lacks insight and creates further division.

So glad to have had EPIC, Empowering People in Care as a platform to share my personal experience to drive changes to the care system in Ireland ✨

Really great meeting of the Care Experienced Expert Panel in the Department today! Great to meet with Robbie Gilligan and the 10 years on from care study team to hear interviewing has begun. Imp to input on interview approach and further brainstorm how to reach care leavers!
