Last month SMS Lab has participated in #BF2024 RSEF with contributions of Miguel Anaya Martín in 2D materials, Sol Fernández Muñoz, Guadalupe Vega and Miguel Anaya Martín in Energy transition and Victoria in Quantum Technologies Simposia. Thanks to GEFES RSEF and Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades Agencia Estatal de Investigación for funding.

Our talented Marta Zarzuela Amor UAM Autónoma Madrid attended the Complex Nanophotonics Science Camp in the UK. She presented her work within the framework of our TED project where we are combining halide perovskites with plasmonic structures to control absorption and emission of light.

New visit of @SMSLabNews to Diamond Light Source 💥. In this case Sol Fernández Muñoz and @CarmenH73362715 measured SAXS and WAXS to study structural properties of MOFs. Many thanks to all the B21 staff for their assistance!! Excited to see the results 🤓

Great news from Jaime Bueno, who has recently been awarded a 4-year predoctoral fellowship (PIPF) from the Comunidad de Madrid to continue working with us. His research focuses on the design of light-matter interactions in emerging devices using optimization methods. Congrats 👏👏

Excited to welcome our five new members to the team: Irene Vigneron, Amel Van Den Berg, María del Carmen Mendoza y Pablo Barrio Universidad de Sevilla and Jaime González Jaime GV UAM Autónoma Madrid, who will start preparing their bachelor thesis with us.

Sol Fernández Muñoz, Carmen Hidalgo Montero, Guadalupe Vega, Pablo S. and Pablo B. have participated in outreach sessions at Facultad Física US Universidad de Sevilla for #QUIFIBIOMAT introducing solar cells to various high school students. 🧑🎓🧑🔬
