Andrew Neil The BofE is still getting it wrong. Loose money for too long and then overreacted on the tightening. Too much too late. Inflation was driven by supply side bottlenecks and not demand lead. So tightening was not the cure!

Steve Jobs was once quoted as saying "Half of what separates successful entrepreneurs from non-successful ones is pure perseverance." So please keep going through the good times, the bad times, celebrate every win, always be learning, improve daily, and play the long game.

Now let's look for a signal that vicious lockdown woke states (like California) saved lives vs more emancipated states (like Florida). How do lockdown morons explain this?

Bank of England Who is going to break the news to the Bank of England that heir decision to raise rates has had very little to do with inflation falling. You don’t fight supply side led inflation by tightening money. Higher rates don’t help labour market bottlenecks. All the BofE has done is fuel

Liz Truss is not Prime Minister material in my opinion. But the collapse in gilt prices was caused by total mismanagement by Bank of England not by her. The problem was created well before she was elected and prices were falling dramatically before the mini budget. The BoE

Covid vaccines over-promised and under-delivered. They should have been restricted to the very old and vulnerable on a recommended but voluntary basis, as originally intended. Forcing them on young and healthy people has done immense harm. telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/05/0…

I block Magic Money Tree theory people automatically as they cannot be reasoned with and so are just a pain. But I'll put this post out as a general response to anyone interested in money, value creation and basic economics. The prosperity of a society arises from value created,

It seems amazing to me that we are having no political discussion whatsoever on how to reverse our obesity and health crisis that costs nearly Β£90 billion annually with simple measures like expanding the sugar tax or putting warnings on UPFs . Shows the power of the food lobby in

The Telegraph William Atkinson How many voted Labour out of Tory despair rather than Labour support? Would you agree that Rishi lost it but incompetence before him landed Rishi Sunak with a car crash. The Tory party was wounded by several bad leaders but properly destroyed by Boris Johnson

Agree. Other big cities around the world don’t allow their residential property to be bought as investments by international buyers who never live there. It guts the city. Why have we allowed it?
