This morning, two of our rookies had their first taste of action. E2 Francesco Lizzi and E7 John Posego extinguished a backyard grass fire. It may have been a small fire, but they gained some valuable experience that will serve them well in the future.

Think 500 gallons sounds like a lot? Our fire trucks typically carry that much water—but in a fire, it can be gone in just 3 minutes. That’s why clear access to fire hydrants is critical. Never park in front of one, even for a minute. Seconds matter in an emergency. #FireSafety
