A strong turnout for the Chalkwell Ramp public meeting. Southend-on-Sea City Council must get emergency access sorted ASAP and then a permanent replacement constructed. Visitors to Southend will be affected this summer, but residents are affected every day, unable to get to the station.

Good luck to Southend United FC at Wembley today. Bring home the promotion!

Come on Southend United FC!!! 🙏

⚽️ Good luck to Southend United FC today! We’re all behind you - well half the city is in the stands cheering you on! 😎 ⚽️

The day after the scruitny meetings - when Southend Conservatives could have held the Southend-on-Sea City Council’s Labour-led Administration to account - come to an end, they finally release the 24/25 outturn report. In a single year, they’ve overspent £15m (20% of the Council’s reserves)!

A big thank you to the 1,162 people in #Southend and #Leigh, Southend Conservatives, all Conservative Southend Cllrs, particularly Cllr Owen Cartey and James Courtenay for helping us amass over 330,000 signatures on our Conservatives petition, forcing Starmer to restore the winter fuel

📰Chalkwell Ramp news! 📰 The contract for demolishing the current ramp and constructing a temporary structure to allow access was approved last night at the Southend-on-Sea City Council Cabinet meeting. Chalkwell Councillors continue to press for a permanent solution to be delivered ASAP.

The inaction from Thorpe’s so-called ‘Independent’ councillors is astonishing. They are on the wrong side of this argument. Write to them and let them know! #GreenBelt 🌳 ✍️ [email protected] ✍️ [email protected] ✍️ [email protected]

Visiting the site of yesterday’s tragedy. I can only imagine the pain and suffering of the little girl’s family and friends, at this heartbreaking time. The deepest sympathies from the Chalkwell Councillors and the Southend Conservative Group at Southend-on-Sea City Council

Fantastic Southend Conservatives summer lunch at the Lawns in Rochford today. Superb speech by Baroness Laing of Elderslie and lovely to be joined by our Police Fire & Crime Commissioner Roger Hirst - for Essex and Deputy Leader of Essex County Council Louise McKinlay.
