Amazing Citizens UK Assembly at Westminster Central Hall yesterday evening. Over 2000 attended to hear questions put to one of the London Mayoral candidates, Sadiq Khan. The joy was in seeing so many young people, future leaders of our city, interested in building a city for all.

Congratulations newly elected MPs! This week Angela Rayner & others pledged to work with Citizens UK on issues that matter to our communities. We're ready to build on existing relationships like these & foster new ones with all elected officials. Everyday people win change💪💯

Last night, we insisted that elected officials must do more to push for a higher % of family-sized social homes in the Aylesham development & that the full quota of intermediate homes must be CLT. Cllr Helen Dennis told us she had 'heard our plea' and that she would do her utmost.

We express our deep solidarity with everyone affected by these frightening events, including our Muslim & migrant colleagues, leaders, neighbours & friends. It is distressing to see anyone in our communities being targeted & we renew our calls for all hateful rhetoric to end. 2/4
