Breaking: Shocker: the first American pope! Cardinal Robert Prevost of Chicago is the new pope, and has chosen the name Leo XIV

Gotta wonder if the Cardinals deliberately chose Robert Prevost, an American, partly as a foil and counterbalance to President Trump, whom he’s criticized. Pope Leo XIV has devoted his life to serving the poor and marginalized, and seems likely to continue Francis’ reforms.

This is a bizarre answer to a question about tariffs. I’m not sure what he’s talking about, since almost every weapon the USA uses is made in America, except for a very few sourced from European allies and Israel. None of our arms come from “foreign adversaries.” Why would they?
