Understanding and mitigating (#remediaton) the risk of contaminants under the unique conditions of the Antarctic requires a multi-disciplinary approach. Read more here on the collaborative research between human impacts & remediation scientists at antarctica.gov.au and @Rmit.

Snowy and wild #wildernessfirstaid training on Kunanyi/Mount Wellington with members of the antarctica.gov.au human impacts and remediation team. Great opportunity to practice a massive range of realistic âscenariosâ for both work and play. Great fun too.

The Brazilian govt. has granted R$ 2M (â US$ 533K) to equip scientific labs on the new Ferraz station, to be inaugurated in Jan 2020. Altogether, the new base will have 16 labs maintained by the Ministry of Science & Technology and one by Fiocruz in English: mctic.gov.br/mctic/opencms/âŠ

Couldnât be happier - Geoff has been a valued expert, leader and mentor to many scientists and engineers working with the Human Impacts and Remediation section at antarctica.gov.au. Congratulations Geoff! #riskandremediation #remediation #

When the whole is greater than the sum of its parts...Working on what we do and where we do it takes highly skilled & diverse teams - scientists, engineers, trades and personnel from Australia and beyond. Chapeau đ© antarctica.gov.au Belinda Ferrari @unimelb Queen's University Suzie Reichman

A diverse set of footage showing the extent of the Australian Antarctic Programâs scientific effort in protecting the Antarctic environment. Well done scientists and engineers from antarctica.gov.au and our university partners Belinda Ferrari Suzie Reichman @QueensEngineer @unimelb
