Rarely have I admired a group of players and coaches more than I have this one. Resilient, determined, professional, and relentless, they were a treat to be around, and it was a joy to broadcast their games. They’ve set an extraordinarily high bar for teams to come.

A sad day for The Washington Post readers as the standalone Metro section in print is eliminated and folded behind Style. As a lifelong Washingtonian and veteran of the Metro staff, I always admired the Post's commitment to covering Washington as a community not just a capital.

It's been an honor to be along for the ride for a season truly unlike any other in NBA history. Can't say enough good things about these players and staff. A special group that authored some of the most incredible moments I've ever witnessed.
