Year 2 have had an exciting trip to the Lickey Hills to fulfill one of their 11 B4 11 promises. We were ’Hiking Heroes’ and loved our walk in the woods, looking at the bluebells and the beautiful trees.

Our new Talk for Writing unit in Y4 focusses on the toolkit 'Openings and Endings'. We have developed our 'reading as a reader' skills by comparing openings of other texts like Where the Wild Things Are and The Golden Compass. What literary features can you identify?

Year 4 loved meeting the inspiring Ami Campbell (Ami Campbell)! She taught us lots about cricket and put us through our paces with some circuit training! #determination #resilience

Year 2 have been busy exploring their local area! We used a map to plan a route and then went on a walk using this today. We saw lots of human and physical features such as a ford, bridges and the River Cole. #geography #MakingMemories

Year 2 have been working scientifically to dissect beans in order to find out more about how plants germinate and grow healthily. #MakingMemories

The Acorn Room have had another fantastic week. We have begun our new topic learning all about toys.

The Acorn Room loved visiting the DT room to make Angel Delight. They listened so well to instructions and followed the recipe. Thumbs up all round! 🤩

Another fantastic week of learning in the Acorn Room this week. 🤩🤩

The Acorn Room learnt lots of new vocabulary during their cooking lesson. They made delicious cornflake cakes!

Y6 were able to deepen their understanding of WWII and relating events during our trip to RAF Cosford. We were able to identify British and German aircraft, missiles and bombs, and we were even lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a modern RAF helicopter landing!
