Environment Canada has issued an Arctic outflow warning for Howe Sound. Gusts reaching up to 100 km/h & wind chills around minus 20 are expected in the windiest areas. These outflow winds are expected to last throughout the week. ecalertme.weather.gc.ca/warning-latest…

There is no tsunami threat as a result of the recent earthquake felt here in #Squamish. Squamish is located in Tsunami Notification Zone E and is identified as low risk for tsunami. District of Squamish crews are inspecting municipal infrastructure.

Starting on March 3 to 7, Public Works will remove the landscaping on the traffic island located along Cleveland Avenue off Highway 99.  This work will result in lane closures along Cleveland Avenue and take place overnight. Please follow all signage and be aware of crews.

The District has been advised that the boat ramp at the Squamish Yacht Club will undergo repairs from April 29 to May 1. These repairs are being carried out on behalf of WLNG to address wear from previous use.
