Really excited to share our new theory with Wenxiang Ying to explain vibrational strong coupling including polariton chemistry. doi.org/10.1063/5.0159… We found an analytic rate constant expression that can explain the sharp resonance behavior of the cavity modifications!
Our work on ion induced G4 DNA folding probed by EVV 2DIR is out in J. Am. Chem. Soc.. A big congratulations to Laras on her first research paper. Imperial Chemistry Imperial College London Rosalind Franklin Institute Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Central Laser Facility Research Complex at Harwell Pharmacology Oxford pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…
Our recent publication in The Journal of Physical Chemistry shows that phenols also stick to a metal surface in the same spirit as thiols, but a bit less enthusiastically. Similarly, they produce vibrational Stark shift upon electrochemical polarization. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Discover the fascinating impact of water on hydrogen bonds in viscous solvents. Glycerol vs. acid-based DES – the battle unfolds! We thank SERB for funding our research at BagchiLab, CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory. #Chemistry #SolvationDynamics #Water sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
Happy to share our recent work "Chemistry of the Au–Thiol Interface through the Lens of Single-Molecule Flicker Noise Measurements" published in J. Am. Chem. Soc. SiMS Lab IISc Bangalore SERB UMAR RASHID pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…
Solvation dynamics affect charge transport, but conflicting values are reported for organic electrolytes. Here, lifetimes of order 1 ns for organic polymer/lithium salt mixtures with ultraslow solvation shell break-up dynamics are now reported. Balsara Lab go.nature.com/3T750U3
Our research, in collaboration with Sameer, is now published in Nanoscale journal family of Royal Society of Chemistry! Using FTIR & 2D IR spectroscopies, we explored ligand passivation on CdSe quantum dots. pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art… Thanks to SERB for funding. BagchiLab, CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory

How do polaritons relax and emit light? This new paper by Juan in Nature Communications attempts to solve a longstanding puzzle in the field and provides a possible answer. nature.com/articles/s4146…
Why measuring solvent dynamics isn't as simple as it seems! Our study The Journal of Chemical Physics reveals that the "measuring stick" (vibrational probe) itself influences nanodomain localisation and observed dynamics in DESs.
