Really excited to share our new theory with Wenxiang Ying to explain vibrational strong coupling including polariton chemistry. doi.org/10.1063/5.0159… We found an analytic rate constant expression that can explain the sharp resonance behavior of the cavity modifications!

How does the viscosity of a liquid arise from the microscopic motions of atoms and molecules? 70 years after Born&Green (1954) and Green-Kubo (1957), we have a new answer and a formula that gives the viscosity in terms of fundamental physical quantities 👉journals.aps.org/pre/abstract/1…

Our recent publication in The Journal of Physical Chemistry shows that phenols also stick to a metal surface in the same spirit as thiols, but a bit less enthusiastically. Similarly, they produce vibrational Stark shift upon electrochemical polarization. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Check out our new preprint where we present a new first principles nonadiabatic dynamics method for polaritonic states. We show that the presence of an optical cavity can change the photochemical outcome after electronic excitation. chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxi…

Solvation dynamics affect charge transport, but conflicting values are reported for organic electrolytes. Here, lifetimes of order 1 ns for organic polymer/lithium salt mixtures with ultraslow solvation shell break-up dynamics are now reported. Balsara Lab go.nature.com/3T750U3

Why measuring solvent dynamics isn't as simple as it seems! Our study The Journal of Chemical Physics reveals that the "measuring stick" (vibrational probe) itself influences nanodomain localisation and observed dynamics in DESs.
