Thrilled to see this paper in Nature Human Behaviour after years of work by Drs. Nick Diamond and Stephanie Simpson with Drs. Stuart Fogel, Daniel Baena, and Brian J Murray. Baycrest Rotman Research

Kollenburg et al. review 70 studies on the cingulum, highlighting its role in chronic pain and complex anatomy. Variability in structural models complicates neurosurgical targeting. Standardisation is needed for better treatment. Read at: buff.ly/o99mK6m Erkan Kurt

Of >105,000 participants with 30-year follow-up, only 9.3% achieved healthy aging (age 70, w/o any chronic diseases). Their diet was significantly associated with this outcome🧵 Nature Medicine

🧠✨ A great overview of tractography—its current state and future directions—by Maxime Descoteaux and International Society for Tractography! 🎥 Must-watch for all tractographers: youtube.com/watch?v=7tbMv7…

I am delighted to be selected as one of the speakers for the Canadian Neuroscience Postdoc Seminar Series. I will present my postdoctoral work on corticolimbic structures in chronic TN pain at Krembil Brain Institute UHN Research. I look forward to engaging in insightful discussions! :)

Preprint from Didac Vidal Pineiro - a common brain factor underlying memory decline in older age. Stronger associations in older, but independent of genetic Alzheimer risk. Very interesting work using >10.000 MRI scan. LCBC - UiO biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Thrilled to share our new paper in Nature Human Behaviour! nature.com/articles/s4156… We show that combining biological 🧬 and psychosocial 📋 data offers a much stronger, more reliable path to predicting pain and diagnosis. 🧵

Our new Nature Human Behaviour paper shows why we need a holistic pain biomarker framework. ML on blood tests, brain/bone imaging & genetics predicts clinical diagnoses but falls short on subjective pain. Adding psychosocial (mood, sleep, stress) boosts both. shorturl.at/vxxeO

It was pleasure to chair a symposium on academic burnout at #OHBM2025, on behalf of OHBM Trainees 🔥 A HUGE thank you to our wonderful speakers, who were willing to be so open and vulnerable about their personal experiences - Peter Bandettini, Amy Brodtmann & Daniel Margulies

The BRIDGE project aims to develop frameworks that facilitate cross-border sharing of brain and mental health data. The project is looking for volunteers (grad students/post-docs) to access datasets. More details at: bridge.incf.org/volunteer-oppo… Register: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…
