The Marian Sisters of the Diocese of Lincoln joined some of our high school students last week to detail their daily lives and Sisterhood. At the end of the class, our students participated in a game of charades to review things that they learned during the presentation.

On Monday, in part of Catholic Schools Week, we proudly celebrate our community and the incredible first responders who keep us safe. With funds raised through our out of uniform days, we were able to present each department with a check to use towards their community building

Big night for the Falcon Wrestlers in Shenandoah. They dropped a tough dual to 2A #13 Atlantic 64-18 and picked up wins against SWI 54-24 and upset 1A #19 Shenandoah 47-36. Freshman Andrew Beckman sealed the win against the Mustangs with a pin.

Today, Bishop Joensen visited Saint Albert Schools and Shelby County Catholic School to celebrate Mass, #CatholicSchoolsWeek, and milestone faculty and staff anniversaries. Thank you to everyone who attended and to every member of our Catholic school communities. God bless.

Congratulations to Saintes Coach Dick Wettengel on his 400th career coaching victory tonight at Atlantic! 30 seasons ago Coach Wettengel was leading the Falcons when they were at Atlantic and the Trojans opened their new gym. Now he’s got the #1 team in 1A girls hoops!

The Saintes have done it again! They have not loss a Hawkeye-10 matchup in two years. What an incredible accomplishment for the smallest school in one of the toughest basketball conferences in the state. Great job ladies!

With a great win over Treynor this weekend, the Saintes have concluded their regular season and now turn their sights to post season play. With an amazing regular season record of 19-1, they have clinched a home court advantage and will play the winner of Sidney and Bedford.
