As a Newtonian born & bred, I was incredibly proud to attend the unveiling of Parkside Link Road - a real milestone for Newton-le-Willows & the wider borough!👏 Pleasure to host the Mayor of Warrington, Lord Lieutenant, Steve Rotheram & key figures across the borough & region.

Thanks Cllr Stuart Bardsley, Rainford Parish Council Chairman for inviting me to his Civic Sunday Parade, with Anne Morris DL, the local Boys Brigade & Girls Association and the Parish Council - a pleasure to meet Reverend Janet of All Saints, Rainford in the beautiful church!

A great day in St Helens on Saturday to celebrate our rich culture and history at the Heritage Festival👏 Heritage is key to who we are as a collective of towns & villages in our borough - thank you all who came down and joined in on the fun and a big thanks to all organisers!

I attended the swearing Mass of installation of Bishop John Sherrington - an honour to be apart of a historic day in the lovely Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral! Fantastic to see so many from our borough & our local parish priests - great to see Father John from Burtonwood too!

Eid Mubarak! It was a great honour to be invited to celebrate Eid-al Adha with our local Islamic community in Newton-le-Willows at our local mosque and community prayer room A massive thank you to the group and the hospitality shown to us today on this important date👏

A blast from the past attending Wargrave Primary's 180th anniversary - back in 1995 I was a pupil at the school for the 150th anniversary! Thank you to the school, former staff, the governors & Headteacher Amanda for making it such a fitting occasion👏

This year's #RefugeeWeek theme is 'Community as a Superpower' - so it was great to get stuck in with the community at this St Helens College event to celebrate all the culture and diversity in our borough! #LoveStHelens

The sun shone on the Summer Fayre at District Primary in Newton☀️ Great to meet so many of the pupils & parents, some stray dinosaurs on a very hot day, and thankfully an ice cream from Rileys Ice's🍦 Top work from the Lavern & all the school staff who made it happen👏

Jim Housley walked almost 500 miles of the Camino De Santiago trek through Northern Spain to raise £7000+ for the Steve Prescott Foundation, North West Miners Heritage & Sam's Diamonds Cancer Support A pleasure to present him with an outstanding achievement award - great work!👏

Thank you to Lord Mayor of Liverpool for hosting us at the Armed Forces day parade along with the Vice Lord Lieutenant, Duke of Lancaster’s Regimental band, and the Mayors of Wirral, Knowsley & Halton too. Great to see my Mayoral Army Cadet representing his unit in the parade 🇬🇧

It was the honour of a lifetime to welcome the Duke of Lancaster Regiment to exercise their freedom with a parade through St Helens Town Centre. It was also great to speak to so many local people in the regiment, and their families too. NEC ASPERA TERRENT🇬🇧

It was my pleasure to support my nominated charity this year, Willowbrook Hospice with their colour run in partnership with St Helens Borough Council 🏃 Over 500 people (and a dinosaur!) participated and have so far raised around £15,000! Thank you to everyone who made it happen👏
