We are really looking forward to celebrating VE day on the 8th May. In the classroom we will be learning all about VE day and in addition there will be lots of fun activities: A dress up day with 1940s theme, a parade and after school a VE day disco!

Thank you girls for helping to look after our plants.

Good attendance is vital for children to achieve their best. We are proud that our school is first out of 64 schools in our local education authority for overall attendance.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our VE Day celebration such a success, especially Ms O’Neill who coordinated the event. The children had such fun and the drill with Rev. Kingsley was great. Our visit to the St James war memorial was very poignant.

Good luck to our wonderful Year 6 class (and all Year 6 children) for your SATs this week. We are very proud of you and how hard you have worked.

Windrush Day was such a highlight this week, when we celebrated the Windrush generation and opened our new history museum. The children looked gorgeous in their clothes and enjoyed many activities including making plantain and cornmeal porridge!
