Thank you to explosive Erica who came to school to deliver an assembly all about Science and the Olympics. The children were engrossed in the different activities and have the opportunity to join the Mad Science after school club next half term!

Here are the wonderful entries for our key stage 2 Easter Competition. There are some funny egg ‘puns’ alongside very creative and original ideas too! The winners will be announced next week in our church service and the eggs will be on display in our hall for all to see!

Adventurers have enjoyed a workshop with breaking barriers this week called crossing the line. Through an interactive monologue they have learnt about peer pressure, how to keep themselves safe and make the right choices for them.

The builders cabins are now on site and the hoardings erected ready to paint. The attenuation tank is complete and the foundation steels cages assembled ready to be put in position. The diggers have started forming the foundation tracks. A busy week on site!

Today our Reception and Year One children visited church to find out from all about Easter from Reverend Alison and to learn about the different parts of the church.

An amazing piece of artwork from Inventors this week looking at LS Lowry. Here the child has used the same colour pallet and included the trademark ‘matchstick men’ Lowry is known for.

Our reception children can’t wait to play with the new water wall tomorrow. We are looking forward to seeing their paintings of the flowers they collect and place into the flower press! An exciting addition to our EYFS garden!

Doc. Bike is in school today repairing children and staff bikes to encourage more people to participate in physical activity and even cycle to school! 🚲

Adventurers are investigating whether the amount of volts in a circuit affects the brightness of a bulb. I wonder if our predictions will be correct?!

Our Easter Church Service was a wonderful festival bringing our school community together. Poems, songs, dances and monologues were performed by the different classes and year 6 wrote fantastic prayers. We remembered Jesus giving his life for us!

Look at the wonderful Easter Bonnet’s the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 created. They loved going on parade showing off their hats in the Easter Church Service! Well done to our winners!

This week the foundations have been dug out and concreted, the hoarding painted and bolt boxes made to fit and hold concrete to support the building.

In art this week Discoverers Class have been looking at the American artist Charles McGee. We have created some group collages to develop our ideas in the style of his 3D collages.
