West Craven High School treated our Year 5s to an 'Extravaganza' yesterday. Each group designed a parachute to safely drop an egg! 3 groups transported their egg!

Year 5 and 6 carried their own crosses with the walk of Jesus through the Stations of the Cross this afternoon.

Come Dine with Me! Our Starter Team have been busy in the kitchen today making garlic doughballs and dipping sauce. Next week - main course and dessert time.

The Year 6s received their Leaver's Hoodies today!

Yummy! Class 2 have been busy making healthy and delicious wraps. We have been practising using our cutting and grating skills too. I hope you enjoyed them at home - now time to evaluate them and improve them for next time! 😀

What a wonderful Mass that was celebrated for Mrs Wood today! It was super to see our parish and parents along with past pupils and colleagues, who have shared many memories with Mrs Wood.A huge thank you to everyone, especially our staff and our children who read, served etc

A very active day at St Joseph's! Children have enjoyed having a go at all sorts of sports - badminton, kurling, tri golf, rounders etc... The children loved it and the sunshine was an added bonus!

Year 1s had a wonderful trip to the library this morning. We were met by Hazel who told us all about the Lancashire Reading trail, read us stories and helped us to make a book mark. There is so many fun things to do in the library.

Today's learning in class 2 went under the table! We scientists were testing materials in the dark to see if they were transparent (letting the light through) or opaque (not letting the light through). Can you find any transparent objects in your home?

Today St. Joseph's presented a very special assembly for Mrs Wood to celebrate her retirement . The children shared memories, prayers, songs and blessings. Her time was recorded in a lovely photo slide. She was showered with many gifts. We will miss our amazing leader

Class 5 walked to Victory Park today to see the planting of the 'Coronation Orchard'. It would be a lovely Easter walk!

The cooking has continued this week with our Main and Desert teams making tacos and brownies! Delish - lots of 10/10 ratings!

Thank you to our Mini Vinnie’s who have given their time this week to lead the Rosary for Pope Francis . We also prayer for the Cardinals who are to enter Conclave and decided on the new leader of the Catholic Church .

Wonderful VE Day meal was enjoyed today. Carefully prepared by our kitchen staff. Thank you!

Some of our Mini Vinnies joined our Parish to crown Mary. We will be carrying on this beautiful tradition tomorrow as we walk in procession around our school grounds.
