Governors and our 150 Society members gathered at The Lansdowne Club in Mayfair to meet our new Head, Mrs Anne Wakefield. It was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the generous supporters of our Chrysalis Campaign as well to meet Mrs Wakefield, who will join us in September.

This Academic Enrichment Week saw our Fourth Form students visit the Science Museum, Steam Museum, British Museum, Bletchley Park, John Wesley's New Room – and take part in a while range of off-timetable events all linked to this AE Week’s theme ‘People who changed the world

It was an action-packed few days for our LV girls at The Christian Adventure Centre as they prepared for their Confirmation. They enjoyed a hike, mountain biking, high ropes courses, and still managed to sit round a campfire toasting marshmallows and reflecting on their faith.

On Saturday morning, we held our Confirmation Service at St Mary’s Parish Church in Calne. After a wonderful breakfast with The Bishop of Ramsbury, the girls went to the Church. Following the service, the families returned to school for lunch and a beautifully decorated cake each

On Monday, the LVI A Level Politics students had the wonderful opportunity to go to Westminster and visit the Houses of Parliament where they were able to interview Lord Kinnoull on a variety of topics. After a tour of the chambers, they had a delicious lunch in Portcullis House.

This week is National Gardening Week, which coincides with St Mary's Calne Grow Club first anniversary. To celebrate, three of the LVI involved in Grow Club went to Highgrove Estate, and the National Arboretum at Westonbirt. Our Grow Club meets every Friday in the Jubilee Garden.
