We were delighted to welcome NBS at Northumbria University into the Sixth Form to speak to our students about studying Business and Management at university.

Our Y7/8 Girls and Y9/10 Girls enjoyed a fantastic night of tennis against Kings Priory School, with the Y9/10 Girls winning their match and the Y7/8 Girls narrowly losing after a tie break shootout. Well done to all of the girls involved.

Were delighted to welcome Leeds Beckett into the Sixth Form to speak to our Year 12 students about why they may wish to study at the university.

Thanks to Jem from Newcastle University for visiting our Year 12 Fine Art students to talk about university life and the possibilities of pursuing an Art degree. They shared some great advice on careers, portfolios, and building connections.

In RE, 7Y welcomed Fr Jonathon Bowes and Deacon Alison Rebello who led the class in a Marian procession around our school grounds. This was a wonderful way to mark the month of May which is dedicated to Mary.

We were delighted to welcome Tony Storey, law lecturer at Northumbria Uni to lead a special law workshop on the law in sport with our KS5 Law Society.

We are delighted to be working with OASES to look at ways we can make our school more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Our Sixth Form Student Environment Leaders recently met with Sarah to discuss the action plans for the next 12 months.

Some of the Faith in Action students organised their own cake sale over a lunchtime to raise money for SVP which is their Year Group charity. Well done everyone!

Recently, our Year 12 students had a campus tour at Newcastle University. The students loved attending a lecture in the state of the art lecture theatre and seeing all of the sights of the university.

Year 7 Artists have worked exceptionally hard preparing their entries for an international competition called "Sketch for Survival". Students are using the competition as the starting point for their new project "Environment". 1/2
