Lots of amazing celebrating happened at St Merryn School again today - well done everyone!

A huge well done to the whole school for organising such a special Arts Night this year. A big thank you goes to Mrs Berrington for going the extra mile to ensure the art work and the whole school performance of our Meadow and Habitats play was the best it could be. Great work!

Starlings had a wonderful, jam packed day exploring Padstow with a focus on Victorian Padstow. We visited the museum, walked along the trail, had lunch in the church rooms, visited St Petroc’s Church and finally finished at the Harbour Hotel! Phew! What a day! @Kernow_Learning

Another day, another trip! Starlings had a great morning at The Cornish Arms learning about a working kitchen including food storage, how to fillet a sea bass as well as making their own sandwiches! What a lovely morning! 🥪🥪 @Kernow_Learning

A massive well done needs to be given to these year 3 and 4 girls for their effort and determination playing football in Wadebridge yesterday. These pictures sum up the conditions they had to play in and despite the matches getting called off halfway, they still did us proud! 💪

A slightly delayed post, but definitely not one to miss! Robins and Nursery children gathered together last week to make some wonderful fruit kebabs with dipping sauce with the staff from the Cornish Arms. There were lots of smiles all round during this lovely opportunity! 🍎🍊🍌

One of the biggest days of the school year - Sports Day! It was wonderful to see such a big turn out from so many parents and families. A huge well done to all children, not only for taking part but also being great sports people cheering on their friends and supporting everyone!

Raya is our new Year 5 Sports Ambassador! Raya does an amazing job at supporting the school with all the running she does. Nott only that, she is a supportive team member and is always there to offer help and guidance to other children in the school! Kernow Learning Multi Academy Trust

We ended today with a range of sporting activities set up by Barn Owls children. It was such a fun afternoon getting the whole school involved, mixing up the year groups and earning points for their house team. Well done Year 6, you organised everything so well! Kernow Learning Multi Academy Trust

Today the whole school was treated to a space puppet show called Journey to the Stars! There were lots of laughs and giggles as well as educational learning all about earth and space! 🌎
