Year 6 had great fun this afternoon, making a model of The Alps using Modroc. We have now studied 4 worldwide places of interest this term including The Alps, The Grand Canyon, Mexico and The Amazon basin. 🌎

We are celebrating excellent results in our end of term ESOL assessments. Charlie (Y6) Inas (Y9) and Sabrina (Y10) all achieved 96%. They are all at very different levels in their English proficiency and the results are testament to their diligent approach towards their learning

Congratulations to Year 10’s Rohan M-F, who has been awarded a #CREST Gold certificate for his investigations into the efficiency of a wind turbine. A gold award is typically only completed by pupils in Sixth Form, therefore Rohan has done incredibly well to have achieved this!

This week we were pleased to have been visited by pupils at El Centro Inglés, Cádiz. They joined our Y6 class for the day and enjoyed lots of outdoor team building activities and finished off the day with a game of rounders. Thank you to our Spanish friends for visiting!

We are excited to announce that St. Mikes has launched its very own forest school! Based on our extensive grounds, the forest school has been specially developed for our pupils to benefit from an outdoor classroom environment. 1/2
