We had a fantastic conversation as part of our visit with the team from University of Glasgow Adult, Community and Youth team, discussing how young people thrive. Skills development is at the top of the list and the uni and team scaffold new leaders to develop their practice. #becauseofCLD

Getting visas to allow our Zambian colleagues to visit us was horrible. Visas were refused as they were too poor. With support from Robyn & Anne McLaughlin NP visas were granted to allow our continued sharing of knowledge in our 18 yr friendship. Today we were able to say thanks

We love all that @Saintrochs6435 & St Roch's FC are doing in our community. These guys continue to do much more than football to support the areas around the club. The future is so positive when we all work together. #partnership #community #bestScheme

An exceptional week in the sunshine on #AlbaVenturer with pupils from Smithycroft Secondary with the Ocean Youth Trust Scotland. Young people learning skills, gaining qualifications and meeting some of the locals as we sailed 112 nautical miles on the clyde. Core memories made. Thanks CashBack4Communities

A massive thanks to North Glasgow Strollers who continue to do amazing work while also supporting other charities. They have dropped off a cheque for £100 for the young people’s Christmas in Blackhill. They have an amazing raffle going on so get involved and a caravan weekend could be yours

A massive thanks to all at North Glasgow Strollers who have once again given us a fantastic donation. This will enable our young people to take part in Christmas festivities where so many can’t due to the cost of living challenges. Keep up the great work guys.

It’s #RandomActsOfKindnessDay Today when visiting the Bank of Scotland, they gave us some paper for our copier and for the young people to use in their art class. Totally unexpected & why we love popping into the Duke St Branch. What random acts of kindness are you doing today?

It was great to welcome First Minister John Swinney to the SPYF Molendinar centre today. He was very impressed with the variety of programmes we offer and the impact we’re making with our community. Thanks for your support.

A big thanks to Scott who spoke so well on BBC’s morning Sunday Show about how youth work prevents violence with Tim Frew & Emily from DRC Youth Project (SCIO) Read more bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… or listen again at 1.07 bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0… YouthLink Scotland Church of Scotland Smithycroft Secondary
