In history we have been learning about the Anglo-Saxon invasion into Britain. We were able to work together to put significant events, that happened between AD 400 and 1066, into chronological order!

We voted for our class Little FISH representatives who, after only a week of being a team, have already spoken in front of 850 people on the Picture News webinar!!!

In science we have been learning about the digestive system. What better way to explore that than creating a digestive system and making our own poo! Lots of gagging but a very enjoyable afternoon full of practical activities!

Yesterday our amazing Little FISH took the reins on our Picture News Collective Worship and what a FABULOUS job they did! They even received a present from Picture News to congratulate them on their amazing webinar the other week! 🌟#KeepShining

In RE, Pilgrims Class learnt that Christians make palm crosses during Holy Week to remember Jesus arriving in Jerusalem to people waving palm leaves, and also to remember Jesus being nailed to a cross. So we had a go at making our own! They were a bit fiddly but we persevered!

Pilgrims class have been learning how Christians celebrate Holy Week in RE. We learnt that they make palm crosses and eat hot cross buns to remember Jesus being welcomed into Jerusalem with palm leaves at the beginning of the week and then being crucified on a cross at the end!🌟

In DT this term, Pilgrims Class have been looking at what makes food healthy. To explore this we made our own fresh fruit skewers 🍇🍓🍈, tried some vegetable crisps (no added salt!), and had a go at making hummus to try with our carrot sticks 🥕!

Personal Space! In RSHE, our task revealed that most of us were comfortable when we had more personal space, but when the personal space was reduced, a few signs appeared that suggested we were uncomfortable such as closed body language and unhappy facial expressions!

Pilgrims Class had a special visitor in to see them this afternoon! As you can tell, we were very excited!!! #ChildrenInNeed #PudseyBear

We have been very busy this afternoon creating our reindeer Christmas decorations! How cute do they look?! Come and join us at our Christmas fayre and Santa's grotto next Friday to purchase one of our little reindeer! 🎅🎄🌟

I can't believe we are already over half way through this term! In science, we have been looking at the properties of different states and exploring how materials can change states such as solid chocolate melting into a liquid (any excuse to lick some chocolate off our hands!)

We were very lucky in Pilgrims Class to have an online lesson from Coram that taught us that we all have differences that make us special and UNIQUE which should be celebrated! We loved playing the 'stand in the sunshine' game that highlighted who we had things in common with!🌟

In RE, we discussed how we had to be kind, work together and create a strong community (Ummah) to successfully build our own 5 pillars of Islam! We related this to Muslims following the 5 pillars of Islam to fulfil Sharia and that being kind to others underpins Muslim culture.

Pilgrims Class enjoyed raising awareness for Red Nose Day today! We had a very competitive Red Nose Day quiz this afternoon followed by an amazing shine time 🌟 What a pleasure it was to see SO MANY TTrockstars from Pilgrims Class shining their light at the front of the hall!🌟🎉
