Times are changing in the Church of England. We will, I pray, see marriage opened up in our churches. Queer people will be embraced as full, holy members of the Body of Christ. Our gifts will be recognised. And people will be startled that it was ever any other way. Praise God.

The Bishop of Dudley and I have written to all licensed clergy in the Diocese of Worcester as the ‘Living in Love and Faith’ process draws towards its conclusion.

It appears clear that some bishops see this period as remaining part of the ‘necessity of silence’ as relates to LGBTQI people. That is disappointing but there we go. It’s absolutely clear that this silence will, soon, have to end. 1/2
