Thank you to everyone who entered our Macmillan competition, the lucky winner was in Year 2 and we won’t reveal his name because his mum wanted it to be a surprise but congratulations. We managed to raise over £100 so thank you for your generous contributions.

Thank you to everyone for participating in our Mental Health Awareness Day last week. Your kind donations amounted to over £200 and we will share this with the Young Minds charity which I am sure you will agree is a worthy cause.

Congratulations to Luna W and James L who won the Christmas hampers. Santa very kindly did the raffle for us before he went home. We hope you and your family enjoy them and wish you a Merry Christmas.

We had a very special visitor at St Wilfrid’s today. Santa decided to pop in and visited all our classes and very sensibly stayed at a social distance. The children were very excited and he told us what lovely children you all were. We hope you enjoyed it?

Easter will be celebrated in a different way this year, the children can make something at home and send a picture in to your child's class teacher. Make an Easter cake, bonnet or decorate an egg and the best picture received will win a prize. Good luck.

Reminder - we will be collecting for the Poppy Appeal from Tuesday 2/11/21. Mrs Screen will visit classes during the week and children can donate to this worthy cause. All poppies this year have a self adhesive back. Thanks as always for your generosity.

Parents review meeting letters were sent home last week, don’t forget to book your appointment with your child’s teacher. We will be able to share your child’s progress and how well they have settled since their return and the impact of the Covid restrictions with you.
