WE HAVE A DEAL! (1 of 3) We have ended our week-long ULP strike after agreeing late last night to a five-year contract deal.

We are returning to the bargaining table today for a three hour session with The New York Times management. We are eager to receive a counter on wages and working hours.

Today Hannah Yang, The New York Times Chief Growth Officer, sent out a bargaining “update” to our members, explaining that ‘While this may not be realized, currently, compensation is not and has never been guaranteed for unit members.’

NO RESPONSE: On Thursday we sent a letter to @NYTimes publisher AG Sulzberger with a simple request: Bargain NOW to avoid the strike. We have heard nothing back. We hope to avoid a strike and are doing all we can to reach a deal, but we need management to do their part.

Nearly 750 of our coworkers in the @NYTimes newsroom have signed a pledge supporting us. They are urging AG Sulzberger and execs to bargain NOW…
