We are returning to the bargaining table today for a three hour session with The New York Times management. We are eager to receive a counter on wages and working hours.

Today Hannah Yang, The New York Times Chief Growth Officer, sent out a bargaining “update” to our members, explaining that ‘While this may not be realized, currently, compensation is not and has never been guaranteed for unit members.’

NO RESPONSE: On Thursday we sent a letter to @NYTimes publisher AG Sulzberger with a simple request: Bargain NOW to avoid the strike. We have heard nothing back. We hope to avoid a strike and are doing all we can to reach a deal, but we need management to do their part.

Cancelling subscriptions to the Washington Post hurts their newsroom of essential journalists, not Bezos. I love tons of its reporters' work, but a special shout-out to D Douglas-Gabriel for her fierce & vital coverage of the endlessly confusing student loan maze #whyIsubscribe

“Our CEO’s compensation is almost 8000% of a midlevel engineer’s salary in our company. Over 10 million is what our CEO makes. But she can’t give us a fair contract? We have a strong strike threat. And we’ll be striking next week if we don’t get a contract.” - Sarah Duncan

We STILL stand with our New York Times Tech Guild siblings in their fight for a contract with just cause protections, fair/equitable wages and the right to maintain the remote work standards they've always had.

WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS! Today, workers from The Athletic sent a letter to Times management calling on them to recognize Athletic editorial workers as members of the Times Guild. We are thrilled to have them in our union.

I asked Grok to analyze the last 1,000 posts from Elon Musk for truth and veracity. More than half of what Elon posts on X is false or misleading, while most of the "true" posts are simply updates about his companies.
