Tonight we attended the local illegal car meet Stoke-on-Trent Police. All participants were given two options, to provide there details or drive over our stinger. They will all be receiving a section 59 warning notice in the post. Next time the cars will be seized. #OpLightning Team 1

Concerns were raised for the driver of this vehicle earlier today. They were sighted by NPAS Midlands (Central Region) who were able to guide us to it's location. Using tactics to avoid a pursuit, the vehicle was contained & female occupant now safeguarded. #OpLightning #Team4RCT

Yesterday (19th) this vehicle tried to get away from us on the M6 but was swiftly stopped J14. Driver found to be disqualified from driving and drugs found in the vehicle. Driver and passenger have a few questions to answer. Vehicle seized. #team2

Another job from 19th. Our patrols intercepted a stolen Mercedes on the M6 stolen during a burglary in Derbyshire a few hours prior. With help from WMP Traffic & NPAS Mercedes stopped together with the convoy car offenders used to travel in. 2 arrested for burglary & TOMV #team2

On 19/06/25 working together with our proactive teams we arrested 3 for conspiracy to supply class A. During the course of the arrest approximately £7m worth of drugs was seized and prevented from causing harm to the communities of Staffordshire and beyond. #team2

M6 J14 to J15 two vehicle RTC. Recovery truck collided with a coach before leaving the carriageway. Luckily minor injury to the driver of the recovery truck.

M6 J13 to J14. Mercedes Sprinter spotted by our patrol speeding at 85mph. When stopped & found to be loaded with chicken. Sprinter weighed and found to be 61% (2.1ton) over weight on gross 60% (1.3Ton) over on rear axle. Vehicle prohibited & cabled. Driver reported.

This driver decided to use false plates to hide the fact that he did not have insurance or tax whilst travelling on the #M6. The driver was also reported for tachograph offences. Vehicle has been seized. #OpLightning Team 1
