Students @newcastle college using the @visonzero bike simulator today. This is an advanced hazard perception endurance unit that educates riders and drivers about the dangers to riders of motorcycles amd scooters on our roads. #oplightning

The Vision Zero bike simulator was taken to Burton College today, simulating hazards that pop up whilst riding around urban and rural roads. If you would like to try your hand and ride the virtual Honda SH125 or CBR600 come along and see us. Thursday @ Stafford College

The checksite had some positive results today alongside the Simulator. Several vehicles seized for No Insurance. Drivers dealt with for Mobile phone and Red light offences. 1 male arrested for Immigration Offences. DVSA had some good results with faulty or dangerous Offences.

Caravan, Motorhome, Trailer & Plant checksite today, accompanied by the Bike Sim. We stopped and educated some and seized others. The horse box suspected stolen. Supported by @DVSA @staffsfireandrescue @datatag @eaststaffslpt specials

Car taken in for an MOT by a trader. As a result identified as stolen and cloned from London in July 2024. Seized and will be returned to the original Insurance company. Try every check you can before buying a new vehicle. Worth paying a little bit to save future nightmares.

Stolen from South Staffordshire in May this year. Had its identity changed and was sold to a new owner in North Staffordshire. True identity discovered by our vehicle Examiner who recovered it earlier. ##oplightning

A few delays this morning so it's likely to be around 08:30 before we can set off. As you can see it's quite big. 🤔. There will be delays as we move. It will cause disruption through #Stafford and #Stone. It is key infrastructure for the UK and the National Grid.

Stolen vehicle on Cloned Plates. Stolen from West Midlands May 2025. Recovered from innocent purchaser in Newcastle Under Lyme Make sure that when buying a second hand vehicle to purchase from a reputable company and do all relevant checks.

It’s important to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and forgetting to do regular checks is no excuse. These were prohibited for defects which would be picked up with routine checks, keeping the riders and other road users safe.
