If you reduce academic staff numbers by circa 50% (Law), 25% (Security, Crime and Environment) in the middle of a semester, there will be a massive impact on students. Exec can't believe their response to the BBC. The whole process needs urgent review. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Let no one be under any illusion. 'No compulsory redundancies' is NOT the triumph it is often touted as. There will be people taking voluntary severance reluctantly and those left behind will have increased workloads. These attacks on academia must stop.
