Last night’s Channel 4 Dispatches programme was bitterly disappointing 📺 This was a chance to challenge the negative rhetoric on disability benefits. But instead, it felt like another hit job on ill and disabled people 🧵

Mental illnesses are real disabilities. ME is a real disability. Autism & ADHD are real disabilities. Every disabled person is different. Some may be able to do some things that others with the same diagnosis can’t do. Disabled people aren’t the problem.
