It was a very Christmassy, cosy evening at Stanhope yesterday for our movie night fundraiser. The children had a lovely time and we are thrilled to announce that our two movie events have raised a whopping £650 towards our Young Voices target. Go Team Stanhope!

Christmas has truly hit Stanhope this week. We also had a shock delivery in Stanhope Stars this week, with our naughty elf, Jingles, passing on the Teacher Naughty List. Thank you so much to everybody who has attended nativities and our carol concert this week.

This afternoon, we took some of our brilliant children from Year 5 and 6 to a debate competition with some other schools from across Flying High. The children represented Stanhope fantastically and were eloquent and thoughtful in their points and responses. Go Team Stanhope!

Our Year 5 & 6 boys won their first match of the season last night with a well-earned 2:1. Shoutout to Craig for refereeing the game & Oscar for pulling off a match winning save. Also to our two players of the match Dexter and Sam, who were solid in defence⭐️

We would like to congratulate Mr Kenney, one of our teachers, on his achievements with Mapperley All Stars. Lots of children from Stanhope attend MAS football coaching sessions and holiday camps. Mr Kenney has been recognised by Gedling MP Michael Payne MP in his recent speech 😊

Year 3/4 traveled back in time to ancient Rome to celebrate Saturnalia, the Roman festival of joy, giving and fun! It was a wonderful way to celebrate their learning. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a memorable experience! 🏛️🎉
