A key milestone in the construction of the new Kennett Primary School building recently took place as those involved in the project took part in a steel signing ceremony. This ceremony leaves a lasting reminder of this special event.

Well done to our team of students who attended the final of the ‘What On Earth’ magazine quiz. They were amazing and came 3rd out of the 100 teams that entered the competition!

Last week was Soham Village College's annual carol concert at Ely Cathedral. This wonderful event was an opportunity for the community to come together, as well as showcase the talents of our school and community members.

Jess, the General Manager of a restaurant in Ely, spoke in our Yr 9 assembly about her career journey. She was later joined by Kayleigh who runs her own recruitment company in Soham. They spoke to a group of students about their industries and what they have achieved. #NCW2024

Two finalists from our debating team were chosen earlier in the year by Lucy Frazer MP to compete with other local schools in the Houses of Parliament. Our students emerged from the tough debate triumphant- taking first place for Soham Village College!

Alex Melloy is an ex student juggling a business degree & aspirations as a UK athlete. He spoke to our Year 11s about pursuing your dreams and the importance of having a good support network around you. Alex has his sights set on the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028

A huge well done to our students who performed on the Blue Shed stage at Soham Carnival over the weekend. It was wonderful to see the amazing band and solo performances.

Over 100 Y6 & Y5 pupils from our Trust Primary Schools had a visit from our Careers Manager last week where they learnt about the reasons we work & the important skills needed in the workplace. Some great ideas came from the pupils about what their own futures might look like
