Michael Merrick Michael, thank you for this. It was truly cathartic for me... don't know what it felt like to have to write it. My sadness is that I experienced all this with my children in a catholic school back in the 2000s. Has nothing changed in a quarter of a century?

Michael Merrick A plethora of incentives that reward bad behaviour and obstinate belief that only they know the correct way to bring up a child. The lunchbox policing has to be one of the most authoritarian and subversive undermining of parental autonomy in recent times.
