We are horrified to see people across the UK being terrorised by fascists & racists because of their skin colour, asylum status or religion. This does not come out of nowhere but from years of vulnerable communities, particularly Muslims, being demonised by politicians & media.

As Jewish people who have experienced the consequences of fascism, our communities must unite in solidarity with Muslims and people of colour against these frightening, racist attacks and stand up against the far-right when it brings hate and violence onto our streets.

Great to see Rabbis advocate for Israel to be held accountable, and against the Board of Deputies of British Jews' statements. The tide is turning in the Jewish community. We need more pressure to stop the killing, secure a hostage deal, and end the occupation and apartheid.

As Jews we know that racism, Islamophobia and antisemitism are intimately intertwined. Wherever violent groups come to persecute communities, we will stand against them.

Dan Berliner I went to Finchley with other Jewish friends-and bumped into several other people (Jewish/non-Jewish, black, brown, white) whom I knew, who experienced the protest only in positive ways. Sackman’s comments were either ignorant or deliberately inflammatory.

Our hearts are with those brutally held captive by Hamas in Gaza and in Israeli torture camps, and with families in mourning. We must urgently act to prevent further massacres.

BREAKING: British FCDO diplomat Mark Smith resigns from his position with a letter titled "FCDO complicity in War Crimes". He accuses Israel of war crimes & genocidal intent & says there's "no justification for the UK's continued arms sales to Israel".

Mark Smith adds that he has raised this at every level & that it's "deeply troubling" that he has been ignored. He states that he previously worked for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office's arms export office -significant as the Govt reviews its arms sales to Israel.

QUOTE: "Israeli soldiers take videos deliberately burning, destroying and looting civilian property and openly admits to the rape and torture of prisoners. "Over half of Gaza's homes and over 80% of commercial properties have been damaged or destroyed ...

"Whole streets and universities have been demolished, humanitarian aid is being blocked and civilians are regularly left with no safe quarter to flee to. Red Crescent ambulances have been attacked, schools and hospitals are regularly targeted. These are War Crimes."
