🏃♀️ Dr. Staci Hepler kicked off our department's team for "Hit the Bricks" this morning at Wake Forest University. Other faculty, students, and staff will keep the team going all day for this relay to raise money for the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

🔥 Hot take: WS/FC Schools teachers should not be required to use personal days or take a day without pay on snow days. It’s like we want there to be a teacher shortage. If we can’t pay our teachers more can we at least treat them better?!

👏 We are so excited to welcome Bhramar Mukherjee to Wake Forest University/Wake Forest University School of Medicine this week for our 3rd Annual Distinguished Lectureship in Statistics and Biostatistics! Faculty and students can't wait to hear about "The Importance of Statistical Thinking in an AI-Augmented World."

👏 Last Friday, Nikolas Lindauer successfully defended his M.S. thesis in Statistics at Wake Forest University! Congratulations to Nikolas and his incredible advisor, Staci Hepler, on an impact-driven project that showcased the stats while keeping North Carolinians' health at the forefront.
