Congratulations to the government of Rwanda and all the partners who have worked together to end this Marburg outbreak – including @CDCglobal, USAID Global Health, and Department of State. Continued collaboration is needed to prevent, detect, and respond to health security threats like these.

Good news from Rwanda, which announced today that the Marburg outbreak has ended. Rwanda’s effective response, with support including U.S. supplied vaccines, ended the outbreak quickly. We are grateful for the health workers who cared for Marburg patients during the outbreak.
