Here's my statement on the Wisconsin Supreme Court's decision to uphold my 400-year veto. TL;DR: Hell yes! ⬇️

We visited Hsu’s Ginseng farm ahead of Wausau’s budget hearing. With over 90% of U.S. ginseng grown here, tariff-driven inflation is hitting farmers hard, and Wisconsin must step up to support our farmers.

AmeriCorps empowers communities across Wisconsin to lift themselves up. Tearing it down does not save money, it costs us support in the midst of crisis. What is the strategy? Who benefits when Trump throws the economy into turmoil and Musk responds by cutting support?

Across Wisconsin, we heard people ask for strong schools, affordable child care, housing, and property tax relief. After 15 years of underfunding by the WI GOP and federal chaos under Trump, Governor Tony Evers’ budget meets the moment, delivering a positive way forward for Wisconsin.

Did you know Wisconsin grows 98% of the nation’s ginseng? In Wausau, we met with Hsu’s Ginseng Enterprises, Inc. to discuss the impact of federal trade policy on their industry and how the state can help. Farmers need stability, not more volatility, to keep doing what they do best.

Threatening to arrest a sitting governor for briefing his staff on their legal rights is outrageous. Thank you, Governor Tony Evers, for standing up to Trump and not backing down in the face of this blatant political intimidation.

Republicans just released their plan to gut Governor Tony Evers budget so they can deliver a tax cut to their ultra wealthy donors. We will fight back, and push for a budget that brings stability and lowers costs for all Wisconsinites.

After selflessly serving our country, our veterans deserve to be supported. Yet, the GOP have just removed essential funding and supports including property tax relief for disabled veterans.

I am heartbroken by the news out of MN, and offer my condolences to Rep. Hortman & her husband's loved ones. I pray Sen. Hoffman makes a full recovery. Violence has no place in public life. I trust law enforcement will find those responsible and bring them to justice.

Republicans are running back into the arms of the Governor after extremist members of their party were unwilling to compromise on the state budget. If they can’t find reasonable members on their side, our doors are always open. We just hope they decide before it's too late.
