At these testing times, we need the strongest possible defence of international law and human rights. Today UN Human Rights Council, I warned how the current trajectory of escalating conflict & disregard for #HumanRights is indefensible.👇 #HRC59

This is the moment to ask uncomfortable questions and to reimagine the movement for the future. Thank you Erika from GATE to remind us that good things can come from chaos but we must be ready to engage differently. FundersConcernedFCAA Aidsfonds International UNAIDS Global

Delighted to meet with Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, Minister of Health National Department of Health 🇿🇦. I congratulated Minister Motsoaledi on his leadership of the #G20 Health Working Group, and on South Africa's ambitious #CloseTheGap campaign to put an additional 1.1 million people on HIV treatment.

A pleasure to meet with Sam Rushworth MP & Brian Mathew during my 🇬🇧 mission. The UK has long been a key ally in global health. I urged continued support to UNAIDS Global and the effort to #endAIDS, upholding the values of equality & inclusion the HIV movement was built on.

Grateful for the opportunity to meet with APPG on HIV, AIDS & Sexual Health to discuss the impact of funding cuts on the #HIVresponse, in the UK and globally. I shared how UNAIDS Global is documenting these impacts, and supporting countries to step up, manage the risks, and sustain progress. Ending AIDS

Pleased to meet with Collins of Highbury Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office at the BGIPU #Pride reception in Westminster. The UK has long been a leader in the global HIV response, but leadership is not a legacy—it is a choice to make every day. We spoke about the urgent need to continue protecting human

In 2024, new HIV infections hit their lowest level since the mid-1980s. Nearly 27 million lives have been saved thanks to treatment. But major funding cuts now threaten this progress. UNAIDS Global urges countries to step up to prevent a deadly resurgence. unaids.org/en/resources/p…

🚨UNAIDS Global #GlobalAIDSUpdate2025🚨 This is not just a funding gap—it’s a ticking time bomb. Yet, there's still time to transform this crisis into opportunity & #endAIDS as a public health threat by 2030—if we act with urgency, unity & unwavering commitment. news.un.org/en/story/2025/…
