Best session ever. Vulnerability Makes Us Whole at the The Society of Thoracic Surgeons Annual Mtg. Frank & personal discussion of surgeon mental health, headlined by one of my personal heroes, Dr. Carrie Cunningham, who gave the most courageous pres. address ever. youtu.be/JaNBH4UPHv4?si…

Next speaker, Dr. Cunningham's mentee, med student, Reagan Collins gave a great talk, Finding a Voice and Why It Matters. She presented some eye opening survey data on surgeons, 1 in 10 had thought about suicide in the past 2 weeks, 1 in 7 in the past 1 year.

Followed by Shanda Blackmon, MD, MPH, Vulnerability: What Is It and Why Is It Important? and Dustin Walters, Mental Health and Suicide Prevention in Surgeons and Colleagues.
